The Race Night held on 19th April was a huge success and raised over £2000.

The thoroughly enjoyable night arranged by Ian Hughes of AB Online Limited was held at the Kennington on Ulley Road, and featured races and prizes sponsored by SaveEmbarrassment.com, Park Mall, Your Best Car, Village Green Restaurants, PodPlus, Derryl Eames, David ‘Jagger’ Finch and club president Peter Grant. Donations were made in absence by Chris Philpott, Chris & Tanya Drakeley and David Flawn.

Over 150 tickets were sold for the event which was by far the largest fundraiser the Club has held in the last few years, and huge thanks go to AB Online Limited who covered the cost of holding the event.

The total profit from the evening which includes entrance ticket sales, horse ownership tickets and bets on the night was £2090.50 – a fantastic achievement which will be put towards the Pavilion Project fund.

Plans are already in motion for the next event which will hopefully be of an equal scale.
